"The Poolhouse" - Casa 2
Casa de Shelley is a wonderful gem of relaxation and pampering. My husband and I needed a 3 week stay in Corozal for both business and pleasure. We picked Casa de Shelley because of the wonderful pictures of the property including the beautiful pool. The pictures did not reflect how wonderful the property and owners are! The Poolhouse was amazing. The pool and grounds are beautiful with tropical plants, flowers, hummingbirds and other exotic birds that visited daily. The grounds are spotless and maintained constantly. The gorgeous pool was so private and it was just steps from our door. It was always sparkling clean and kept daily. There is a large screened in room full of comfortable chairs, plants, flowers, and ceiling fans for peaceful bug free sitting by the pool at night. Shelley and Dr. Mike were gracious hosts. There were well informed for things to do and see and were always available to answer any questions we had. Shelley made sure we had many little surprises in our casa or as we floated in the pool. Our modern, clean and well stocked casa was full of everything you would need on your trip. The towels and linens were very high quality and it was easy to stay cool with the AC and fans. The kitchen has everything you need and we even had our own gas grill. We even had a washer and dryer in our spacious full bath. There is private parking right next to the Poolhouse and the resort is fenced and gated for safety yet very easy to come and go. Casa de Shelley is very close to town and we had no problems staying stocked up. You cannot go wrong at this 5 star resort. We will be sure to come back and also recommend this wonderful place to our friends and family. Thank you so much Shelley and Dr. Mike.

We loved our stay at Casa de Shelley. It was just like coming home. Shelley and Dr. Mike were incredible hosts. They went way above and beyond any expectations we had. We felt like we were visiting family, you know the ones you want to be with! Shelley has literally thought of everything and even more. The Poolhouse is super cozy and has all conveniences of home. It walks straight out to the superbly landscaped pool and is only steps from a fully screened gazebo. There was great Wifi everywhere on the property. Casa de Shelley is walking distance to town so we could easily explore. Shelley set up a trip for us to the Lamanai Mayan Ruins. The tour was wonderful. This should have been our last stop in Belize. Nothing else we stayed at was even close.

Dear Shelley and Mike, We loved our 2 month stay at Dr. Mike and Mrs. Shelley’s beautiful luxury poolhouse. A 5 star resort, that was truly a home away from home. The poolhouse has every single thing you could possibly want. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The walk in shower has a lovely teak seat and river rock pebble floor. The bed is extremely comfortable and the linens and towels luxurious. Everything is immaculately clean and well maintained. The internet is fast and reliable. The A/C in bedroom worked perfectly. The pool that is right outside our door is a tropical oasis. Always clean and surrounded by hundreds of flowers and many different types of birds. From the rooftop deck you can watch the snowy egrets come in each evening to roost in the mangroves across the canal. Dr. Mike and Mrs. Shelley were perfect hosts treating us like family. They were available daily for anything we could possibly need and were constantly checking with us to make sure everything was perfect. Our refrigerator was stocked with supplies so that we didn’t have to shop immediately upon arrival. And we were always invited to gatherings they had, such as Easter dinner. We didn’t have a car. Walking distance to the nearest store for groceries and supplies was 10 minutes, and it took about a half hour to reach the center of town. There were also several nice restaurants all within a 15-minute walk. Dr. Mike and Mrs. Shelley always offered us rides when they saw us out walking. Taxis are also readily available in town. We loved our stay at Casa de Shelley, and highly recommend this resort.
The 3 Bedroom, 2 baths - Fully Loaded" - Casa 1
Dear Shelley and Mike, Wonderful stay at Casa de Shelley! Our home away from home was complete with everything we needed! From what is all ready in the cabinets, laundry room, or on the beds, to the provisioning (including local honey). Your gracious readiness to serve us in anyway to make our stay better created the ease and comfort of home (away from home), truly. What will last with me about waking there is the roost as the birds awoke from their slumber, shook off their feathers, and greeted one another with muffled conversations before gently lifting from the branch into flight. Then, moving to the porch for coffee and more bird watching! From this naturalist, it was pretty darn good wildlife viewing while still in my pajamas! Imagining you will remember us sneaking in the back gate after dark, giggling like teenagers. Part of our fun was having Casa de Shelley as our home base alongside Terry and Jeanne’s casa. Another memory is calling the police! May there be no further damage or disturbance to the roost! Thank you both for doing what you knew to do in this circumstance to produce action from the authorities. I support you from afar. Thank you particularly for sending the photo of the accommodations certificate. Though the authorities did not request it, the entry and exit forms asked where we were staying and I could answer those questions with confidence. It was lovely to meet you both. BOOK THIS LISTING. You will not regret it. Dr. Mike and Shelley went above and beyond and were the definition of super hosts. The pool house was perfect, serene, peaceful, clean and everything that we needed. They even provided an additional blow up bed so my grandmother and I could have our own beds to sleep in. The fridge was stocked with breakfast items to make breakfast the first morning upon arrival. There were also a variety of drinks, including Belikins for immediate relaxation upon arrival. Dr. Mike and Shelley were sweet and even offered to pick up food for us on their food food runs. Plus, my niece was thrilled upon departure to receive a delicious box of freshly made donuts from Dr. Mike and Shelley. Talk about special touches. The gym was a pleasant bonus because I hadn’t worked out for the previous 4 days that I was in the country. The grounds were well kept and absolutely beautiful. Everyone was very pleasant and super helpful with whatever we needed. Do not look past this listing, just book it. TRUST ME.

We recently had the privilege of staying at Casa de Shelley in Corozal, during our Covid travel frustrations Mike and Shelley offered us advice and patience. Upon our arrival at this beautiful property,! We were received like long lost family. I recommend Casa de Shelley for any and all that appreciate kindness and grace from a wonderful wonderful couple, and all of the beautiful soft hearted Belizeans, that work at the property. The accommodations are spectacular, comfortable and spotlessly clean, it is a blessed thing to watch the birds come to nest on the canal in the evening and blast off for their day in the mornings. If you are a dog lover as we are, you will be over the moon with the canine posse 😃😃. I recommend Casa de Shelley as a 10 🌟 for a perfect get away.

Spent five enjoyable days at Casa de Shelley while visiting Corozal and had a wonderful time. The Poolside Villa was ideal and the owners - Dr. Mike and Shelley - were fantastic hosts and soon became friends. Recommend it, and them, without hesitation and look forward to a future visit.

We had the pleasure of staying at Casa de Shelley for 11 wonderful days. We have traveled to other countries and other places in Belize. Shelley and Dr. Mike made us feel at home from the minute we walked on to their beautiful property. The Pool House was immaculate everything you need for a 5 star vacation. From bedding to the electric reclining loveseat and well thought out kitchen , and spacious bathroom with soft oversized towels and a large walk in shower, with a pool right outside your door with tropical flowers, and comfortable lounge chairs. They even have a bar to keep your drinks cold . Shelley and Mike made sure every detail is done so you experience a vacation of a life time. We can’t wait to go back to Casa de Shelley to enjoy their magnificent property and hospitality again.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. Dr. Mike and Shelley are very nice to us. Shelley drove us to grocery store and restaurants. The house is very nice and clean. We love it. If we will go to Corozal, we would like to stay there again.
"Family Getaway" - Casa 1 & 2
We loved it at Casa de Shelley. We had no idea something this nice was in Corozal and we will be back! We rented Casa 1 and Casa 2 for a family getaway. It was perfect in every way. 5 stars and more! Shelly and Michael were the consummate hosts and with them living onsite you are assured of their attention to your needs and responsiveness.

Starting with our initial conversations with Dr. Mike and Shelley, we knew these were caring, loving, and knowledgeable people we could trust and a property where we could start our adventure in Belize . Belize is an amazing country. There is a lot to learn about not only the people but the terrain as well as trying to decide if this is the right place to retire. We stayed 6 months in Casa1 at Casa de Shelley and every day was an amazing opportunity to spend with these phenomenal hosts...now family. The property is extraordinary and well maintained. Everything is so well thought out from the pool, living accommodations, privacy and the brand new terrace build above the home with amazing views and sounds of the water and birds. They went out of their way to help us find a lot of side trips and activities. As a remote worker, the incredible high speed internet was one of the highlights of my stay.....fast and dependable. At one point there was a total of 9 people on the property all on the internet watching videos and playing games....it never skipped a beat. These amazing hosts and amenities made it hard for to leave as the days closed down on us. It was an amazing adventure at an amazing place with amazing hosts who we now call family! We can’t wait to return!

You will not find more concerned hosts than Mike and Shelley. I don't know how else to say it. They were conscience of every single thing my wife and I may need the entire time we were there. It was more like being at a family members guest house than a random place in the middle of another country. Simply amazing.... The pool house is perfect and well equipped. My wife and I had ample space to relax with all the items we needed provided. The pool...? Forget about it. It is incredible. You walk outside your door, dip in the pool and have a cocktail, and you are in paradise. Belize is a country where it pays to know a thing or two about where to eat, where to buy things, etc. This is the area that Mike and Shelley add that extra touch too that you will not find in a rented room somewhere. We talked to them daily for advice and recommendations. It made the trip! Heck, we went out to dinner with them several nights! We will be coming back to Belize soon- and staying at Casa De Shelley while we are there:) Chris and Michelle.

This beautiful Casa is the perfect get-away spot for staying in the Corozal area. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, to include new appliances, linens, towels, etc. The photos are exactly how it appears, clean and modern, and the lush flowers surrounding the pool that is just steps away make it feel like you're in paradise. The hosts, Mike and Shelley, were extremely kind and helpful, making us feel like family. The went above and beyond to make our stay a delight! Date of arrival - February 21, 2021

I have stayed many places in Corozal and Belize but never have I been treated like FAMILY until I met Shelley (Mother Hen) and Doc (Dr. Michael Parrish). Last week was the best trip to Belize in my 14 Years of traveling to Belize.

Shelley and Dr. Mike are two of the most hospitable people you'll ever meet, they made our stay at Casa de Shelley just incredible - the stay was nothing short of what it would be to stay with a close family member=) The property is absolutely gorgeous, the internet is spectacular - I had absolutely no problems on my many zoom calls. We stayed in the pool house and it looks even better in real life than in the pictures. I'm definitely coming back - thanks again Dr. Mike and Shelley!

We know why Dr. Mike and Shelley are premier hosts. They go over the top to make sure our stay was perfect. Not a thing was missing. Great accommodations. Comfortable beds, full kitchen, and cozy home environment. Great location and easy bike ride into town. The hardest part of this trip was leaving...
